3 Body problem star Liam Cunningham shared more about the reunion Game of Thrones bosses David Benioff and DB Weiss in their new series.
Cunningham became famous for playing Davos Seaworth during most of the HBO fantasy series' run, and plays Wade in the new Netflix sci-fi series based on the Chinese novel The three-body problem by Liu Cixin.

“When old Game of Thrones I'm done if you consider… look, I'm 172 years old and a third of my career was spent with David and Dan – that was about 10 years with David and Dan,” he said.
“It was with a broken heart that I said goodbye to working with them, probably the most unique experience I have ever had in my career.
“And then a few years later you get a call and you're like, 'What?' Do you want to see me again! ». And look, when you have beautiful scenes and great words, and they have such respect for history and what we do as actors – and respect for talented, creative people – it's not hard to say yes.

Cunningham goes on to say, “Being back on set with these two and the respect they have for each other and the gentleness they have for people in front of the camera – and also the huge added bonus of having that included in the mix – I fell to my feet in absolute delight.”
The star also praised working with Benedict Wong, who plays Da Shi, beaming that “every day working with this man was an absolute joy” and “they laughed every day.”
Sam Wong added: “We are catchers at heart. We laugh, but we take our work seriously and look after each other. This gives us space to have fun and throw curveballs at each other. It's great fun.”

Wong, who appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wong, further talked about working on the film 3 Body problem compared to the superhero series.
“These are two huge behemoths,” he noted. “What I really liked was the continuity of the family, in a sense Game of Thrones world.
“There are a lot of people in the crew and production you worked with […] I enjoyed watching… There's a beautiful shortcut there, isn't it, happening. So it's nice to be part of the team.”
3 Body problem is now available on Netflix.
