In its first seasonal offering to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary, Belstaff explores its diverse heritage, particularly its connections with nature, through a technical collection created with modern explorers in mind.
Taking notes from the conditions, terrain and monuments of Scafell Pike in Cumbria – the quintessential landscape of the British countryside – the Spring/Summer 2024 collection features a variety of archival pieces reworked in new factories to aid your expeditions. The all-weather Castmaster Parka features a functional cut with newly introduced cool-touch polyester and a quick-drying UV finish, inspired by the innovation behind Belstaff's 'sporty waterproofs' of the 1930s.
In addition to the Castmaster model, the collection also includes the famous Dalesman outdoor jacket and apron, which were originally launched in 1950. Once again made from new, tightly woven Scafell Cloth, the jacket maintains the classic soft-touch cotton look while keeping your hands dry, with an effect similar to old canvas floors and tents.
These jackets are available with a wide range of accompanying pants, shorts and T-shirts that complete the heritage-inspired, utilitarian look. The edition also includes elements of the Centenary capsule, as well as a selection of classic Belstaff overshirts. Pairing the clothes is a neutral palette composed of “Mineral Green”, “Dark Sandstone” and “Limestone”, which is applied in blocky shades and covered with map prints on some pieces.
In conjunction with the launch of the new collection, Belstaff presents a new campaign that naturally takes place on the various stages of Scafell Pike. Thanks to a series of black and white action shots, the visualizations emphasize the nostalgic character of the traditional elements of the collection, while showing their modern technical solutions.
